With my last upload, I mentioned that I've been looking to expand my horizons, I recently was inspired by a suggestion to consider photographing subject matter that included urban decay, abandoned buildings, etc...

Over the years, I have documented such items, but never in a deliberate manner, more by happenstance.

So, with the Hudson Valley fully engaged in "Stick Season", I set sail looking for subject matter in my town that suited the bill. In the town where I live and surrounding areas, it was not difficult to come across images such as this one.

This old abandoned farmhouse (there are many other areas such as this locally) is only a five minute drive from my home. When scouting the area a few days prior to this capture, I came across a dilapidated barn with this abandoned farm house adjacent to it. One can easily assume that this was once home for the workers who worked at this long forgotten dairy farm.
